
Licensing
- Implemented a single IT functional support model for the
Licensing Operations team eliminating multiple touch points
with the IT supply chain for the Prospectors, Scientists and
Analysts. The new solution provided the Licensing
stakeholders with greater decision making capability in
helping to evaluate prospects and monitor existing deals.
Scientific Outreach
- Deployed a Web based reporting tool to collect data from
multiple source systems that provided visibility to Finance,
Corporate Development and Licensing stakeholders into total
expenditures for scientific grants. The solution helped
integrate Key Opinion Leader and scientific research community
information, eliminating redundant
communications and duplication of grants processing.
- Implemented a non-regulated Document Management solution
for 5 Therapeutic Area divisions and 40 plus Product
Strategy Teams. This involved a migration from several
legacy systems and established a new document management
practice for Commercialization stakeholders resulting in
substantial time savings in document collaboration.
- Implemented a fully compliant Document Management Solution to manage Clinical Trial information generated in China and the United States
Mobile Workforce Capability
- Transitioned the Clinical Field Operations team
from a headquarters-based to a Home-Office based
solution. Deployed hardware, software and connectivity
solutions resulting in significant cost savings.
Publication Planning
- Deployed Publication Planning system to support Medical
Affairs preparation and approval of documentation for the
medical community. Solution was adopted by the Public
Affairs department to track preparation and approval of
documentation for release to the news media and investors.
Medical Call Center
- Deployed Call Center platform to support a large
biopharmaceutical company's Medical Call Center which enabled
the business to understand the pattern of information requests
from medical professionals. Capability helped streamline the
Medical Q&A process and to determine the necessary Medical
Education required.
- Lead effort to create a single customer master data management and field
alignment system which was a first for a large
BioPharmaceutical company. Expanded capability to enable a 360
degree view of the customer at enterprise level, capturing all
interactions from research to sales, while meeting all
regulatory standards.
- Lead selection and deployment of CRM solution to 500 field
sales people for initial release. Subsequent release expanded
to 1,200 field staff and implemented a standard selling
model. CRM Capability supported a five-fold increase in
company sales.
Government Affairs 
- Deployed PAC (Political Action Committee) recruitment,
management, gift matching and government reporting system that
resulted in a ten fold increase in PAC contributions.
- Deployed a Lobbying Relationship Tracking system and
Government Reporting system to leverage Lobbyist's time and to
simplify the mandatory reporting process.
- Implementated a Global Competitive Intelligence
(CI) platform across Sales, Marketing, Research and
Development at a large BioTech. Replaced the fragmented processes and tools that
were in place. The new capability enabled the firm to better
understand the CI landscape and change business strategies
appropriately.
- Implementated a USA focused Competitive Intelligence
(CI) gathering system for a mid size BioTech company utilizing rapid development methodologies.
The system was oriented to gathering information at congresses.
Contracts Medicaid Reporting
- Implemented system to streamline the reporting of contract
prices to multiple government entities. Enabled firm to meet
expanded, government mandatory reporting requirements without
an increase in staff.
Government Pricing
- Implemented solution to calculate new regulations on
reporting Average Selling Price (ASP) and other related pricing
information to government. Enabled firm to meet expanded,
government mandatory reporting requirements without an
increase in staff.
- Implemented capability to automate the acquisition and
reporting of all syndicated data from multiple third party
vendors resulting in significant cost savings to the company,
as many in house business units were duplicating the
expense.
- Deployed a single reporting platform that replaced multiple
legacy reporting tools. Prior to delivery, no single version
of the reporting truth existed. Resulting implementation won
the Computer World Best Practice Business Intelligence
Infrastructure award in 2005.
